Certified Brainspotting Clinician
I have been honored to have had the opportunity to work closely with emergency responders, including military and veterans, spouses/significant others of emergency responders, and athletes since 2015 when I first began my master's program. Over the last year, my passion for working with emergency responders or their spouses or significant others has only deepened.
As a spouse of a firefighter and raised in a military family, I have personally seen the impact that post-traumatic stress injury, physical injury, cumulative traumas and emergency responder exhaustion syndrome can have on personal lives and those closest to you. I am actively involved with First Responder Support Network (FRSN) as a volunteer clinician providing Brainspotting/EMDR services at their West Coast Post Trauma Retreat (WCPR) and Significant Others and Spouses (SOS) Retreats.

In addition to working with emergency responders and their spouses, I have a passion for working with and supporting athletes and equestrians overcome hurdles and performance blocks through use of Brainspotting, a Neurobehavioral Treatment for Sports Trauma.
My passion for supporting athletes and equestrians reach performance goals stems from my personal history of overcoming anxiety when performing, challenges with injuries, or overcoming training/performance blocks. Challenges, struggles, and blocks can surface in just about any aspect of our lives and including how we perform athletically - be that boxing/ soccer/ football/ dressage/ training horses/insert your sport here. That being said, I will not claim to be an expert or even knowledgeable on any sport or specific type of riding; however, my expertise lies in helping people change and working toward reaching their individual goals. My work with the athletes and equestrians in overcoming blocks and reaching desired outcomes begins with supporting individuals in identifying two parts: what it is they don’t want to be doing, and what it is they want to do. From there Brainspotting can be a remarkedly effective tool in aiding individuals in reaching those performance goals.
